PS3 Dress!

by Tommy Tseng

Heylo!

A new addition to the PS3 Home service - PS3 Dress! Apparently this will allow you to style your Home character to a great extent, and enable you to create fashions, logos, brands…you name it!

The PS3 Dress’s Studio feature shall make YOU the designer, capable of doing whatever you want in terms of clothing. And, maybe you can sell these fashions….perhaps prompting a Second Life/Project Entropia (which I am playing atm, join me!) similarity?

PS3 - its capabilities are unrivalled.

by Tommy Tseng

Helloo!

More good news ;)
Square Enix character designer Tetsuya Nomura (Square Enix makes Final Fantasy) has stated that the PS3 is allowing the development team’s visions to be true. The PS3 is allowing them to do anything they virtually want in terms of visuals. Thus, FFXIII and Versus XIII will be presumably more intense, and more graphically pleasing (and apparentl according to this, BY FAR!)

Also, he has stated that it is best to focus on one console, even if it will displease fans from other consoles.

PS3 +1, Xbox 360 -1, Wii -1 ;)

Wooh! (Only for US, sorry) MGS4? Demo? …English?

by Tommy Tseng

Hey guys,

It seems that Kojima Products (from Hideo Kojima, creator of the MGS series) has stated that their development team is in fact working on an English version of the MGS4 demo for American consoles!

This comes as exciting news, as at the recent TGS Meta Gear Solid was, for the first time, playable and open to the public!

As for me, yesterday I watched some hilarious + awesome videos from TGS (Tokyo Game Show): MGS4 and MGO (Metal Gear Online)

Take a look! Especially the endings ;)

No..stay…don’t get Halo 3!

by Tommy Tseng

Hey guys,

I’m sure its September 26th, Wednesday for me. For many, its September 25th, Tuesday. Its 12:23 AM, and I’m going to bed….because I have BF2ing the whole day and am tired.

Anyway, for those of you thinking to buy Halo 3, DON’T! Despite what www.xbox360rally.com tells you to, www.ps3rally.com says Halo 3 is a big no no. What’s new? Multiplayer modes, storyline, graphics!

Multiplayer modes -
You’ve got tons to choose from, mate. Warhawk gives you the best aerial combat, Motorstorm gives you the best racing, Resistance:Fall of Man gives you the best infantry, heck, MGS4 will even give you good infantry. And MGS4 again for your stealth needs.
Heavenly Sword for your sword and RPG action. Ratchet & Clank for your childish needs, GT5 for your racing needs, and who can forget Battlefield:Bad Company for your full out war needs? And there’s also Lair for your dragon action, albeit the motion controls being a bit buggy at present. Oh damn it, wait, there’s also Killzone for ALL your needs.
Oh, and did we forget the PS3 is getting some MMORPGs? Wooh!

Storyline -
Resistance:Fall of Man for your post-apocalyptic versing aliens needs, MGS4 for your drama and sad needs (trailers made me say :( ), Battlefield:Bad Company for your renegade soldier needs, Final Fantasy XIII for your erm…story…RPG…needs? heh..

Graphics -
No one can ever say that MGS4 has probably one of the best graphics out there. No one can deny that. Motorstorm and Lair both have top-notch graphics, they were absolutely fantastic. Oh, and Crysis shall be porting over to the PS3, so isn’t that a gorgeous addition? Killzone 2, arguably has the best graphics out there.

Halo 3? Graphical improvement? From that TV excerpt I saw today, warthogs just looked shinier, the guns are more detailed..and that’s about it. I stay close to my claim that it looks just like Halo 1, albeit, shinier.

A Sony representative has also come out and stated that it does not need to rely on one game, as Microsoft is with Halo 3, saying it has ‘diversity’. I guess, I prove that eh?

So please, don’t get Halo 3! Although the helmet looks cool, you can steal that. Why waste $100, when you can get Killzone 2 later on, or even MGS4?

Motorstorm 2-on its way!

by Tommy Tseng

Hey guys,

It appears that Motorstorm 2 has been far into development on the PS3 and will be released in the fall of 2008! This exciting news comes just a few days after the whole studio working on Motorstorm (Evolution Studios) was purchased by Sony (thus making it a 1st party developed title).

Motorstorm was a breathtaking, intense game that scored high reviews throughout the world. May the second installment be as exciting and graphic-licious as the first!

Metal Gear Franchise-not dead yet!

by Tommy Tseng

Hey guys,

Exciting news! Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the MGS series, has confirmed that MGS 4:Guns of the Patriots will not be the last MGS game!

This means that there will be more after MGS4….yay!

However, Kojima has stated that it was hard to say goodbye to Solid Snake who was his ‘baby’.

I can’t even imagine a new MGS without Snake…unless, Raiden appears again. Or, Snake’s descendent! :O

Eternal Sonata for the PS3!

by Tommy Tseng

Eternal Sonata

Hey guys!

Namco Bandai stated that Eternal Sonata, along with Katamari would be released on the PS3, however shortly after the dates for the PS3 were pulled off the site. Many, confused and dumbfounded, thought that the PS3 versions had been cancelled, however just recently, Famitsu, a Japanese publication has confirmed that Eternal Sonata IS coming to the PS3!

Eternal Sonata follows the adventures of famed composer Frederic Chopin as he travels through his own dream world filled with colorful characters and stunning locales. In a land where music influences both combat and exploration, Chopin sets out on a journey not only of self-discovery, but also one of redemption.

Utilizing a combat system that rewards players for careful battle coordination, Chopin and his allies can unleash devastating combo attacks for even more damage while on the battlefield. To add even more depth, combat is also influenced by the powers of light and darkness. Depending on whether enemies or heroes are in the light or darkness, their attacks, abilities, and even physical forms might undergo massive changes, adding a whole new dimension of variety to every encounter. Will Chopin learn the secrets of the mysterious world he finds himself in? Will the powers of evil forever cast a shadow of darkness over the land? The curtain is about to rise on a symphony of epic scope and scale… and the answers to those questions lie between the notes of dreams and reality.

Sounds like fun!

18+? Interesting. Oh, we’re talking about casinos..

by Tommy Tseng

Hey guys!

It seems that the PS3 Home Service (Due to release VERY soon, October is it?) will be featuring 18+ areas to watch trailers, movies, etc.

And also, places such as casinos too! Sony has stated that they have ‘age restriction’ programs already, and their use will be ‘inevitable’ in the future.

A CLEAR indication to casinos too, as it is legal, since under 18s would not be able to get in.

And hint hint at NCSoft-the producers of MMOs such as Guild Wars and City of Heroes (and Villians!) have seen the PS3 as the ‘ideal platform’ for an MMO. Good internet, interactivity, features and capability make the PS3 a formidable MMO fighting machine. So, those of you interested (and a LOT of people do play MMOs), stay tuned for more information!

Warhawk is soaring high in sales!

by Tommy Tseng

Hey guys!

As you all know, Warhawk was released last week. And well, it has been very successful!

100 000 copies of Warhawk have been sold!

Very few PS3 games can get this much popularity, and this even comes at a surprise as Warhawk’s single player was scrapped, leaving behind online battles, and massive air, sea? and land battles at that!

It is retailing for $59.99 including a Bluetooth headset, and just $39.99 on the PSN. Get it now and join the fun!

And rumours a-hoy: Sony may add a 40 GB PS3 for $400 for the holidays, and PS2 dropped to $99.99? Wooh!
